What is the Dubai Fitness Challenge?
Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) is an initiative launched in 2017 by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai. The challenge aims to inspire individuals to cultivate a fitness-oriented mindset and embrace healthier, more active lifestyles.
When does Dubai Fitness Challenge take place?
This year's challenge will run from 1-30 November 2025.
Why does it take place?
Studies show that it takes around 30 days to make a significant change to your health and wellbeing. That’s why Dubai Fitness Challenge encourages every person in the city to change and enhance their lifestyle with 30 days of activity. But it doesn’t end after 30 days — the challenge is about creating a long-term impact, essentially encouraging an overall lifestyle change for those who take part. Dubai is all about the happiness of its residents. What better way to create happiness than to encourage a healthier lifestyle for everyone in the city?
How can I get involved?
From the beginning of October, you can express your interest and register for the Dubai Fitness Challenge. Whether you're an individual, representing an organisation, a partner, or a sponsor, there's a place for you in this exciting event. Is there an official Dubai Fitness Challenge app this year?
This year Dubai Fitness Challenge is working with multiple fitness app providers, to offer a wide range of features and capabilities. You can find the list of app partners on the Dubai Fitness Challenge website.
How much does it cost?
Dubai Fitness Challenge is free to join, with thousands of free classes and events to enjoy throughout the month. However, there are some third-party events that may require an entry fee to take part.
Can anyone take part?
Dubai Fitness Challenge is open to everyone, of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you live in the UAE or are simply visiting, everyone is encouraged to participate.
I'm already a fitness enthusiast – can I still take part?
Yes, absolutely. Lead by example and sign up for the Dubai Fitness Challenge. Inspire others around you and share workout tips and tricks on your social channels using the hashtag #Dubai30x30.
How do I share my experience?

What sort of classes are available?
You can find everything from yoga classes and cycling sessions to padel tennis and kids’ activities. Dubai Fitness Challenge offers something for all ages and levels of fitness ability.
Is Dubai Fitness Challenge family-friendly?
Yes, there are a number of family-friendly events and activities taking place across the city during the challenge. You can visit our What’s On to find out more, or set your own 30-day challenges with your family.
Can I sign up after Dubai Fitness Challenge has started?
There are no restrictions on when people can register. Ideally, everyone gets to enjoy the full 30x30 days, so it's recommended you register before 1 November.
I have an account from last year, do I need to sign up again?
Even if you took part in previous years, you would need to sign up for a new account for Dubai Fitness Challenge 2025 to make sure you receive all the latest information on exciting events and activities.
What's the difference between registering as an individual or company?
You can set goals as a company and work towards them together, whereas individuals have personal goals.
Do I need a gym membership to take part?
Dubai Fitness Challenge does not require you to enter a gym or fitness facility. Doing any physical activity for 30 minutes or more per day qualifies you as an ‘active participant’.
How can I volunteer at Dubai Fitness Challenge?
There may be opportunities to steward road routes and courses at Dubai Run and Dubai Ride, encouraging people to sign up, staffing at events or assisting coaches and instructors with their sessions. Please email [email protected] for more information.
Will there be filming and photography taking place at DFC this year?
All events and activations are filmed by our hired agencies, and they will be used as material to promote the events and activations for this year and following years whenever required. So, participating in those events and activations means you approve the use of your videos and photos in these promotions.

What will be the safety measures for DFC events?
The health and safety of all participants is our priority. All DFC events, activations and activities will be held in alignment with the rules and regulations set out by the Dubai Government and Dubai Health Authority.
When does Dubai Ride take place?
Dubai Ride takes place on 2 November 2025 and is free to enter. To find out more information visit www.dubairide.com.
When does Dubai Stand Up Paddle event take place?
Dubai Stand Up Paddle takes place on 8th and 9th November 2025 at Hatta Dam. You can register via www.premieronline.com. Free paddle boards will be available, and everyone is welcome to enjoy free sessions for all ages and abilities plus take part in the Dubai Fitness Challenge Stand Up Paddle Challenge!
When does Dubai Run take place?
Dubai Run takes place on 23 November 2025 and is free to enter. To find out more, visit www.dubairun.com.

What is a Dubai Fitness Challenge Champion?
We encourage corporations, schools and government participants to appoint champions to lead their organisation through the Dubai Fitness Challenge. Champions play a vital role in getting their organisation onboard and succeeding in our goal to become the world’s most active city.
Champions are responsible for:
- Registering their company for the challenge.
- Spreading the DFC message across their organisation.
- Arranging events and encouraging participants to achieve their 30 minutes per day.
How can organisations, schools and government participate?
There are several ways to participate in the challenge. The sector-specific guide you receive has further information on how you can activate the challenge. Here are some things you can do:
- Encourage your colleagues/staff to join the Dubai Fitness Challenge by signing up online and committing to 30 minutes of exercise for 30 days
- Visit the Champion Dashboard to learn best practices, inspirational ideas and set up your own team challenges
- Consult health and fitness experts to set up programmes for your team.

Can I sign up on behalf of my employees?
If you are a designated company Champion, you can register your company. To find out more on how your organisation can participate please email [email protected]. Otherwise each person must register individually through the website.
What can a company do to help Dubai Fitness Challenge?
Ultimately, it’s about energising Dubai, getting the city active and driving positive lifestyle changes. Encourage your colleagues and staff to take on the challenge and help make Dubai the most active city in the world.
Is there a deadline for schools and corporate entities to register?
There’s no deadline but to make the most of the huge range of events and activities, you should be ready to go from 1 November.
Is there information I can circulate to all staff members?
Once you register, you will receive a comprehensive Guide with information that can be shared with your team.
What is the minimum or maximum number that can sign up as a company?
There is no minimum/maximum number of participants required for government organisations, companies or schools to register – the more the merrier. The number of participants entered will determine the category in which the organisation falls.
What can I do to encourage my colleagues to join?
Your Guide, which you receive when you register, will help you activate your challenge and provide tips on encouraging participation. Be sure to log into your Champion Dashboard to learn best practices, and for inspirational ideas to motivate your community and advice on setting up engaging team challenges. Can we still join Dubai Fitness Challenge if we aren't in Dubai?
Entities outside Dubai are welcome to participate in the Dubai Fitness Challenge. Please assign a Champion and register. For more information, please contact [email protected].

Is there an approval process for companies?
Yes – all submissions will be reviewed by the Dubai Fitness Challenge team. Once you’ve registered with your company, you will be informed via email as to whether or not your submission was successful.
How many company profiles can I create?
As a Champion, you can only create one profile for your organisation.
How many company profiles can I join?
You can only be a member of only one corporate, government or school/university profile.

Can I get injured from working out?
We recommend to engage in physical activity with awareness, particularly if you're not a regular exerciser, as there's always a slight risk involved. Prioritise safety by including warm-up and cool-down routines in your workouts. Additionally, if you have any underlying medical conditions, it's wise to consult your doctor to ensure safe exercise.

Do I need to register for Dubai Stand Up Paddle?
Yes, all participants need to register for Dubai Stand up Paddle. Although it's a free event, registration is required for safety and security reasons.
Can children participate?
Please note children under six are not allowed to participate. Children over six and under 21 MUST be accompanied by an adult.
What is the event about?
Dubai Fitness Challenge presents the third edition of Dubai Stand Up Paddle at Hatta Dam. It’s a free event for all fitness levels, featuring stand-up paddleboarding, sunset yoga and kayaking in the stunning natural setting of Hatta.
New for 2025, participants can enjoy Dubai Stand up Paddle for over two days instead of one. Kayaking sessions can again be booked on-site and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Free shuttle services from Dubai will also be provided, making the experience even more accessible for all.
Who can participate in the event?
The event is open to everyone, from complete beginners to experienced paddlers. Whether you're completely new or a seasoned pro, the event is open to all abilities. You’ll be provided with everything you need including a board, paddle, and life jacket along with a short safety briefing before you begin.
What are the start time(s) of the event?
The event starts at 8:30 AM and finishes at 5:30 PM, daily. Kindly refer to your booked session timings on the registration email.
Where do I go for the event?
The Dubai SUP event is located on the scenic reservoir Hatta Dam and set against a dramatic mountainous backdrop.
Is there parking at the event?
Yes designated parking areas are available, on arrival at Hatta Dam you will be signposted to designated spaces by parking marshals.
Is transportation available to the event?
Yes, shuttle buses will be available (subject to availability) from Dubai World Trade Centre to Hatta and back, providing a convenient way to attend. Participant will receive details in your registration email.
What are the Race Pack/Number collection details?
Registered Participants will receive confirmation of entry by email.
On arrival at the venue participants should proceed to the check in desk where they will be allocated coloured wristbands commensurate with the session(s) they have booked.
These wristbands will then allow access on to the embarkation jetties prior to the relevant session starting.
What should I bring with me?
Bring a swimsuit, towel, waterproof sunscreen, and water Consider wearing a cap or visor as reflections from the water can be intense. Life jackets and paddleboards will be provided. You may also want to bring a change of clothes for after the session.
Will there be changing facilities?
Yes, changing facilities will be available at the venue for your convenience.
Are there bag drop facilities?
A bag drop will be operational at the venue between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. It is recommended to bring a bag to store essentials whilst on the water.
What time are the sunset yoga sessions?
There are two Sunset Yoga sessions to choose from, the first will take place on the water 3:45 PM to 4:45 PM and the second 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. These sessions are adults only and ideal for those who are already proficient in stand-up paddleboarding.
Can I participate in the kayaking sessions?
Yes, participants can again enjoy free Hatta Kayak sessions throughout the day. Bookings for kayaking are available on-site and are subject to availability.
What safety measures are in place?
All necessary safety equipment, including life jackets, will be provided. Qualified instructors will be present to ensure all participants enjoy a safe and fun experience.
What is the best time to arrive?
It’s recommended to arrive at least one hour early to ensure you are ready for your session. Shuttle buses also run on a schedule from Wadi Hub and event parking areas.
Can I bring my own paddleboard or kayak?
No all required gear including paddle boards and kayaks will be available at the event for free use.
What estimated time will the event finish?
The final event will finish daily at 5:30 PM.
Where can I find the results for the event?
The events are fun sessions with no racing or competitive elements.
Will food and beverages be available at Hatta Dam?
Yes, there will be food and beverage options available at the venue, offering a variety of snacks and drinks. However, families are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy throughout the day.
Where can I stay in Hatta?
Hatta offers several accommodation options, ranging from camping sites and lodges to hotels. Popular choices include Hatta Fort Hotel, Hatta Sedr Trailers Resort, and Hatta Damani Lodges. Booking in advance is recommended.
What else is there to do in Hatta?
In addition to paddleboarding on Hatta Dam, there are plenty of activities to enjoy in Hatta, such as mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, and visiting Hatta Wadi Hub. You can also explore the historical Hatta Heritage Village or relax by the picturesque Leem Lake or take a stroll in Al Wadi Park. Do I need to register to attend Dubai Yoga and when does the registration open?
Yes, all participants must register to attend. Registration opens on 4 November 2025.
What is the event about?
Dubai Yoga will transform Zabeel Park into a sanctuary of movement and mindfulness, welcoming participants for a unique sunset yoga experience. This free, mass-participation event invites people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to come together for a moment of balance, serenity and community spirit. Set against Dubai’s striking city skyline, participants will enjoy a sunset yoga session led by expert instructors, supported by a series of interactive wellness activities throughout the afternoon.
Who can participate in the event?
The event is open to everyone, from complete beginners to practitioners. There will be dedicated Family, Ladies Only, and General Zones, which are selected during the registration process. Please note that all attendees under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. There will also be a dedicated accessible zone, with experienced instructors, for People of Determination (POD). Do I need prior experience to take part in Dubai Yoga?
No prior experience is required; the Dubai Yoga event is designed for all skill levels including complete beginners.
Are children allowed at the event?
Yes, children are welcome and can enjoy a variety of specially designed activities, but Children under 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult. Children aged 16-20 can register and attend but must do so with parental consent.
How much does Dubai Yoga cost to attend?
Dubai Yoga event is free to attend.
What entrance gate do I use to access Dubai Yoga at Zabeel Park?
This will be communicated to registered participants closer to the event.
What are the timings of the event?
- Gates open from 2.30pm
- An afternoon of yoga related activities will take place prior to the session

Is there parking available?
As parking in the area is limited, we encourage participants to use public transport to get to the event.
What should I bring and any helpful tips for the day?
- Please ensure you bring your registration QR code which can be found via your PremierOnline registration email or via your PremierOnline account.
- Hydrate: Bring a refillable water bottle and drink plenty before and after.
- Eat Light: Avoid heavy meals at least an hour before the session.
- Sun Protection: Wear a cap or visor and apply high-SPF sunscreen.
- Switch Off or Silence your phone and enjoy the rare chance to be truly present.
- Listen to Your Body and go at your own pace. It’s about participation, not perfection.
What should I wear?
Dress comfortably and with cultural sensitivity (no crop tops). Wear loose, stretchy, breathable clothing suitable for movement.
Do I need to collect my wristband prior to the event?
Registered participants will receive their Dubai Yoga entry confirmation by email from PremierOnline which will contain a unique QR code for entry. No collection is required before the event. Upon arrival at the venue, participants should proceed to the check-in desk, where they will be given wristbands corresponding to the Zone they have booked.
What are the event zones?
When registering participants can select from the following options; this will then determine which zone you are placed within for the event. This will determine your entry point and location for the event:

- Ladies only
- Families (with children under 16)

Can I choose which Zone I sit in during the event?
You will be allocated a particular Zone access based on your choice during registration. On arrival at the event, you will be directed to the appropriate zone.
What facilities are available on-site?

If I have booked but I am no longer able to attend Dubai Yoga, what should I do?
If you are unable to attend, we kindly ask that you cancel your free registration as soon as possible. This will allow us to offer your spot to someone else who may be interested in participating. To cancel your registration, simply login to "Manage your account" and follow the steps to cancel the booking.
Who will be leading the Sunset Yoga session? Who are the yoga instructors at the event?
