Dubai Ride presented by DP World

Join Dubai’s iconic community cycling event on Sheikh Zayed Road

Dubai Ride presented by DP World returns for its sixth edition on Sunday, 2 November 2025, transforming the city’s most famous roads into a giant cycling track. Thousands of cyclists will come together for this free, mass-participation event, pedalling past landmarks such as the Museum of the Future, Dubai Water Canal, Burj Khalifa and Dubai Opera.

Date: Sunday, 2 November 2025

Timings:

  • Speed Laps: 5:00am – 6:00am
  • Dubai Ride: 6:15am – 8:00am

 

Routes:

  • Sheikh Zayed Road Route (12km): Starts at Dubai World Trade Centre and runs to Safa Park, including the Dubai Canal Bridge climb. Recommended for more experienced cyclists.
  • Downtown Family Route (4km): A flat loop around Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, passing Dubai Mall, Dubai Opera and Burj Khalifa. Suitable for all ages and abilities.

 

Registration & bib collection

  • Registration opens: 1 October 2025 via DubaiRide.com

  • Bib collection: 29 October – 1 November at Zabeel Park

All participants must be registered, collect their bibs in advance and bring the following on event day:

  • Operational bicycle
  • Helmet (mandatory)
  • Attached bib number (mandatory)
  • Filled water bottle

Who can join?

Dubai Ride is inclusive and open to all, from first-time riders to experienced cyclists. Families, solo riders and People of Determination are all welcome, with dedicated support entry points for adapted bikes, hand cycles and tandem bikes. Service dogs are permitted with prior documentation.

 

Speed Laps

Cyclists looking for an extra challenge can register for Speed Laps, a fast-paced ride between 5am–6am on the 12km Sheikh Zayed Road route. Refer to the Speed Laps page for more information.

 

Tips for the day

  • Check your bike’s brakes, tyres and gears the day before
  • Wear sunglasses to protect from morning glare and dust
  • Apply sunscreen and bring a cap or visor
  • Carry a small snack and water in a belt or backpack
  • Arrive early to find your start zone

Is Dubai Ride free?
Yes, participation is completely free, but advance registration is required.

Where does Dubai Ride start?
Routes start from Sheikh Zayed Road (near Dubai World Trade Centre) and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard. Exact entry points will be shown on DubaiRide.com.

Can children join?
Yes. The 4km Family Route is suitable for all ages, but children must be accompanied by an adult.

What bikes are allowed?
All operational bicycles are permitted on both the 4km Family Route and the 12km Sheikh Zayed Road Route. However, push bikes, scooters and electric-assisted bikes are not permitted on either route. Refer to the Speed Laps page for its permitted bike allowances.
