DFC 2022 Highlights

DP World Kite Beach Fitness Village

Packed with 15 fitness zones, DP World Kite Beach Fitness Village had everything including world-class football coaching and competitions, elite boxing tips, rowing and spin classes, high-energy aerobics, relaxing yoga, Padel, cricket, water activities and more.

Over 30 days 195,000 people enjoyed more than 3,300 sessions at the fitness village - and also got to watch cricket and schools’ football tournaments throughout DFC. And with a daily schedule of classes, school visits, dance parties and a morning-long takeover by Pirates Surf Rescue, the fun never stopped at DP World Kite Beach Fitness Village.

RTA Last Exit Al Khawaneej Fitness Village

The RTA Last Exit Al Khawaneej Fitness Village was a favourite destination for families, combining great fitness activities with Last Exit’s fun attractions and food trucks.

Thanks to the dedicated ladies studio, an exciting spin zone, and a rebounding activity which was great for high-energy, low-impact workouts, and a dedicated kids zone where they could do their 30 minutes, families could enjoy an evening with something for everyone.

This year residents of Dubai had access to 19 Fitness Hubs across the city, all the way from Inspiratus Sports District to Hatta Wadi, and everywhere in between.

DFC’s Fitness Hubs saw communities come together to get fit, enjoy mass fun-runs and rebounding sessions - and even attempt a world record. And between them our Fitness Hubs offered hundreds of free fitness sessions and classes throughout 30x30.

Thank you to all our 2022 Fitness Hubs: Dubai Police Officers Club, Champs Sports & Fitness Club, Mohammed Bin Rashid Library, Dubai Festival City, Dubai Design District, Sport Society, Dubai Hills Mall, DMCC, DragonMart, Hatta Wadi, The Space, Inspiratus Sports District, Palm Jumeirah, Bluewaters Island, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Zabeel Sports District, Zabeel Ladies Club, The Beach opposite JBR, Gate District DIFC.

Dubai Run presented by Mai Dubai

More than 193,000 runners joined Dubai Run presented by Mai Dubai on Sunday 20 November 2022.

Dubai Run has become the largest fun run in the world - and we couldn't have done it without all those in Dubai who've come together to get fit and have fun. As the sun rose, the city turned neon green as runners took to the streets in official Dubai Run t-shirts, supplied by Sun & Sand Sport, to run by many of the city's icons.

Dubai Ride presented by DP World

The UAE’s busiest roads transformed into a giant cycling track on Sunday 6 November 2022.

Almost 35,000 cyclists hit Sheikh Zayed Road and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard for the once-a-year opportunity to cycle along Dubai’s biggest highways, and pass some of its most iconic landmarks - including the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Opera, Emirates Towers, Museum of the Future and more.

Expo City Dubai Sports & Fitness Weekend

The stunning Expo City Dubai saw two days of great fitness sessions on 12-13 November 2022.

These included running and cycling events which took participants through the Expo site and around Dubai South - along with dozens of classes from Fitness First, Les Mills, Barry’s Bootcamp and more.
